It depends . When you are fat , your organism needs more energy to do the regular activities and so using a simple diet program you lose very easy pounds . ( please don't say weight ... we are scientists you know , weight is a force) Now , the problem is that is much more difficult to change your eating habits and follow that simple diet program .
Before i continue with this i must ask ... what do you mean it is easy to gain weight ? in what sense ? and what difficult to lose?
(I'd rather say "mass", because we can't practically "have" pounds either... But you're right about the "weight thing...anyway!)
I should define my question a bit more... Let's take myself for example... If I eat a LOT of food for 3 days for example, it's definite that I'll gain at least 3-4Kg (I don't know what this is in pounds...). But if I eat very little for the next 3 days, I'll lose maximum 1-2 Kg, not more. I haven't tried that, of course, but I can see how difficult it is to lose mass compared to gaining it, from experience. I don't think it just has to do with eating habits, though!
Will you continue now? ;-)
For most people losing weight is a big issue, but do'nt forget there are many people who are having troubles to gain weight.
I will try to answer to this query in a very hilarious and stupid manner, but I hope you won't get angry.
In my opinion, the organism's cells need a lot energy as a food. So, when you eat, every cell takes as much food as it can. And as we know, the body consists milllions of cells and for every single cell (accurately, for its growth and metabolism) needs lot of nutrients. Also we know that our nourishment consists of "good" and "bad" parts. I mean, some parts of food are healthy and necessary for our body but other not. As an example take a candy. It contains glucose which is necessary for the cell. But also has preservatives and dyes for color and these parts are not necessary for our body. So we have to eat much candies in oder to gain that "good part" of food. That's why we gain a lot weight as we eat.
And further I am going to deliberate why we lose so hard that overweight. As the cells have taken that food, they are very reluctant to get rid of that food because otherwise their metabolism will be less productive. So they try to resist all person's attempts to lose weight in oder to be full of necessary source of energy.
eat more calories than you use & you'll put on weight; use more than you eat and you'll lose it. Weight Loss is now a goal which can be reached really easily if we stick to a training regime, diet plan. But for some, surgery may be the only hope.
So true! That's how it is in this world and I know it's hard to take. But what you should do is to avoid eating too much and exercise.
